Everyone at Compassion Dental of Harlingen is here to make sure that your visits go as smoothly as possible. Below, you can familiarize yourself with some of the friendly faces you will meet at our practice before you call our office to schedule your first appointment.
Vanessa, Office Coordinator
Vanessa attended the San Antonio College of Medical and Dental Assistants for her education, and she’s been working in the dental field for well over 15 years. As our dedicated office coordinator, what she enjoys most about her work is getting to interact with patients each day! She has a talent for connecting with others very easily.
Originally from Santa Rosa, Vanessa is married with four children. Outside of working hours, you can typically find her spinning, hiking, or enjoying live music.
Monika, Registered Dental Hygienist
Monika’s career in dental hygiene stretches over 20 years so far. A Harlingen native, she studied at Texas State Technical College. Her favorite part of being a hygienist is getting to play such an important role in her patients’ lives as they work on keeping their smiles healthy and confident! Seeing their happy reactions after they’ve had their teeth cleaned is always so rewarding for her.
Monika has been married to her best friend Steve since 2001, and they have a kindhearted, creative daughter named Mia. The family also features a Miniature Schnauzer named Thunder, a Pug named Poh, and an orange tabby cat named Doongi! As for hobbies, she loves traveling with her family most of all. They’ve been to the East Coast several times and have a goal to travel to the West Coast some day to see California or the Arizona desert. She also dabbles in photography and enjoys relaxing while watching television – especially K-Dramas.
Lupita Reyna, Registered Dental Hygienist
Lupita is a 2018 graduate of TSTC-Harlingen Dental Hygiene program. She has over 10 years of dental experience, starting out as a dental assistant. She loves educating and providing care to her patients and making sure that they are comfortable during hygiene treatment. Lupita strives to stay current in the latest research in oral and systemic health correlations. In her spare time, Lupita enjoys spending time with her fiancée and family, traveling when possible, and playing with her Dachshund/Chihuahua mix, Scooby.
Lisa Mooneyham, Registered Dental Assistant
Lisa has been working in the dental field for nearly five years now, and she feels proud every day to help her community in such a tangible, smile-inducing way! A Harlingen native, she studied dental assisting at Texas State Technical College.
Away from work, Lisa has a young son who definitely keeps her on her toes. Her favorite hobbies in her spare time include going on long walks through nature, reading, watching pretty sunsets, and binge-watching a particularly good TV show.
